Marion Cotillard isn’t naive, she knows that her new movie ‘Allied’ with Brad Pitt shares a striking resemblance to ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith,’ the film he and Angelina Jolie famously fell in love while filming. Here’s what she had to say about it!
Even a bat could see that Allied is basically Mr. and Mrs. Smith 2.0. The new spy film which features a hot and heavy romance between Brad Pitt, 52, and Marion Cotillard, 41, has a lot of similarities to the 2005 flick where Brad and Angelina Jolie, 41, first fell head-over-heels for each other. So, what does Marion (who was briefly and inaccurately blamed for Brangelina’s divorce) think about the comparison?
Well, Mr. and Mrs. Smith was really a comedy,” said Marion to ET on the red carpet of a New York City special screening. “This one is very entertaining but at the same time, there is a very profound questioning about love, about trust — and the movie is very moving. It’s very emotional. But yes, there are common points between the stories, because it’s two spies who meet on a mission.”Brad & Marion: See Pics Of The On-Screen Couple
Well, there you have it! There’s more to Allied than it may seem so don’t think you know the whole story yet. Marion may not have feelings for Brad, but she sure loves him as an actor! “He did an amazing job,” she said, gushing about her costar. “He was very committed. It was very touching to see him working like he did. He loves French language and he did an amazing job.” We can’t wait to tune in to the sexy film
