Selena Gomez always wants the best for Justin Bieber, so she was happier than anyone over the initial success of his brand new album Purpose. HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE scoop on how Selena has shown her ex support on his big day and why she’s so thrilled that everything is going so well for him!
“Selena is super proud of Justin and has congratulated him numerous times on the success of Purpose,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She knew how stressed out he was about the reviews, so seeing how well his new album has been received makes her especially proud of him. She knows he put his blood, sweat and tears into this album.”
The Biebs has actually been talking about his ex a ton while promoting the new record, and he’s made it clear that they’re still on good terms. And since he revealed they talk on the phone every now and then, it’s no surprise that the 23-year-old called Justin to let him know how happy she is for him!
Interestingly, Justin has also admitted that three songs on the album are about Selena, and he confirmed that “Sorry” and “Mark My Words” are two of them. And when we took a listen, we couldn’t help but notice that the track “No Pressure” also seems to tell the story of the pair’s tumultuous relationship.

“It’s like, magical,” he told i-D of his relationship with the gorgeous singer. “There’s nothing like it. So I felt that and I just didn’t want to let it go. When it was hard, I was like, ‘I want to stick this out.’ So it was on again, off again, on again, off again.” Hey, don’t forget — Justin admitted there’s a possibility he and Selena could get back together, so you never know!
