Kangaroos deliberately run down
Seventeen kangaroos have died after being deliberately run over by a driver in Australia, an animal welfare group has said.
The carcasses of 16 kangaroos were found on Monday along a 100m (300ft) stretch of road in Brisbane, according to RSPCA Australia spokesman Michael Beatty.
Another kangaroo had to be put down because of its injuries.
Many of the animals were young, Mr Beatty said.

"They've definitely been deliberately run over," he added.
"You can quite clearly see the tyre tracks where they've gone off the road to hit them."
The driver has not been found and the RSPCA branch in Queensland state has asked for any witnesses to come forward with information.
