Rap-Up TV: T.I. Reacts to Iggy Azalea’s Grammy Nominations
On Friday, Iggy Azalea scored four nominations
at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards including Best New Artist and Record
of the Year for “Fancy.” The Aussie rap sensation also picked up nods
for Best Rap Album for The New Classic and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
During his appearance at Power 106’s Cali Christmas on Friday, her Hustle Gang mentor T.I. was beaming with pride as he reacted to the news.
“It’s awesome,” he told Rap-Up TV. “We’re just incredibly proud of her and happy that she’s enjoying her moment. She’s worked hard.”
According to Tip, Iggy is heading back into the studio soon to work on her sophomore album.
“She’s really just focused on her next project though,” he added. “She’s definitely working diligently trying to make sure that she maintains this level of intensity.”
When asked if he will be part of the project, Tip laughed. “We’ll see.”
