Iwobi becomes 10th player to score on his first Premier League start under Wenger

The Nigerian-born forward capped off a fine display with the goal that won his side three valuable points against Everton at Goodison Park and joins an esteemed list
Alex Iwobi turned in a man of the match display on his first Premier League start for Arsenal and achieved a rare feat in the process.

The nephew of Jay-Jay Okocha has caught the eye mainly in cup competitions this season but took his chance to impress in the Premier League against Everton on Saturday and scored his first senior goal in the process.

Only nine other players have managed to score on their maiden Premier League starts for Arsenal since Wenger took over at the club almost 20 years ago.

Iwobi, 19, now sits in esteemed company alongside the likes of Emmanuel Adebayor, Samir Nasri and Thomas Vermaelen, as well as Joel Campbell who scored on his first Premier League start for the club against Swansea back in October.
