Messi v Ronaldinho, Cristiano v Ronaldo & the draw for the Legends World Cup

Goal presents the inaugural tournament in which 16 greats of the game battle it out in a popularity contest to decide who is the best player of all time
The greatest and most-loved players in football's rich history are set to fight it out in the Legends World Cup.

Our panel of experts from across the globe have selected 16 all-time greats and paired them off to create eight knockout matches - which we want our readers to vote on to determine who goes through to the quarters, last four and then the final.

The first game kicks off on March 23 and the tournament runs until the final on March 30.

Below is the map of the Legends World Cup draw in full, in which you'll be able to figure out who could face whom in the tournament.

Two of the most enticing last 16 fixtures are a clash of Barcelona legends, Lionel Messi and Ronaldinho, and a Clasico battle for the ages between Johan Cruyff and Alfredo Di Stefano.

One of those four will reach the semi-finals to face one of Paolo Maldini, Franz Beckenbauer, Cristiano Ronaldo or Ronaldo. The former two defenders clash in the last 16 for a quarter-final spot to face one of the Ronaldos.

On the other side of the draw, Eusebio and Pele go head-to-head in an attempt to secure a quarter-final berth against Michel Platini or Zinedine Zidane.

Only one of Ferenc Puskas and Marco van Basten will reach the last eight, while the final last 16 battle will be between George Best and Diego Maradona. The winners of both matches will face off in the quarter-finals.

Every match will be decided by you, Goal's readers, with votes tallied 18 hours after kick-off to decide who wins. Be sure to get involved in the Legends World Cup to settle the greatest player of all-time debate!
