Over the last few weeks, the engrossing Premier League title race has taken centre stage during the weekend's drama.
This weekend, however, expect two giants to steal the headlines, when Chelsea host Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.
The battle is a head to head between the fallen heavyweights of the Premier League—and still its reigning champions—and the side who remain the division's last great hope in the Champions League.

Standings

Data is not available yet!
The Citizens head into the weekend's game on the back of their magnificent midweek triumph over Paris Saint-Germain.
While the French champions saw off Guus Hiddink's Chelsea in the Round of 16 to advance to the final eight, Laurent Blanc's side were unable to do the business against the Sky Blues.

Some may say that the French side sabotaged their own UCL chances following the manager's decision to opt for an unfamiliar 3-5-2 formation for the second leg at the Etihad Stadium, but Manuel Pellegrini's side deserve immense credit for having held their nerve to see off the tie.
City are in uncharted territory in Europe, but in Kevin De Bruyne, they possess a player capable of deciding contests with a magical moment of creativity, a splash of technical brilliance or a visionary pass.

The Belgium international, returning to his best after a devastating injury, settled the second leg against PSG, and will be desperate to do the same against Chelsea.
The Pensioners—then under the guidance of Jose Mourinho—opted to cash in on the precocious playmaker in 2014, selling him to Wolfsburg, where he went on to contribute 20 assists and 10 goals as the Wolves rose to second in the Bundesliga last year.

De Bruyne has a point to prove, and don't be surprised to see him compound his former employers' concerns with a star turn at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
In light of City's midweek exertions, it would be little surprise if Pellegrini shuffled his pack and used the explore the depth and breadth of his squad.

Team Comparison

Don't be surprised to see Yaya Toure, Fabian Delph, Pablo Zabaleta and Nigerian wonderkid Kelechi Iheanacho given a run out on Chelsea, who will themselves be looking to respond from last weekend's chastening defeat by Swansea City—their third in five matches.
These two giants may not be competing for the major honours domestically this season, but expect this pair to put on a show this Saturday.
