Serie A Team of the Week: Ageless Toni joins Torino heroes
The best performers in the latest round of Italian league action are recognised by Goal in our all-star XI
There was one stand-out scoreline in Serie A in round 32 but there were a number of star showings as the Italian season edged towards decision time. As a result, the Goal Team of the Week could have had around 18 players, but a final XI have made the cut.

While Daniele Padelli was in fine form in Torino's duck-breaking victory over Juventus, Albano Bizzarri did just as much to affect the title picture as he kept out Lazio. Alberto Paloschi might have netted the crucial equalising goal for Chievo, but it was his Argentine goalkeeper who had laid the platform for a comeback with a string of key saves and intelligent interceptions.

The first key result of the weekend came in the north east, with Udinese overcoming AC Milan 2-1. Silvan Widmer was one of the Zebrette's stars, winning a fascinating duel with Luca Antonelli down his flank. Over in Florence, Cagliari sprang another surprise, with Mobido Diakite as solid as a rock against the Fiorentina front line in the Sant'Elia side's 3-1 win. The rest of the defence is made up of Torino stars: Kamil Glik led the defensive line with aplomb once more in the 2-1 win over Juventus, while Matteo Darmian grabbed one goal and one assist to make all the difference down the left for il Toro.

Udinese were aided by a fantastic midfield performance from Allan as they saw off Milan, while Antonio Nocerino got one over his old club Palermo as Parma registered a rare victory thanks to the ex-Italy player's winning goal and fine all-round display alongside Jose Mauri. And it's great to see Lorenzo Insigne back fit and in form, and he was a goalscorer and serial creator in Napoli's excellent 4-2 success against Sampdoria.

Inter recorded a big win over Roma thanks to Mauro Icardi's latest key goal at a crucial time, while Duje Cop grabbed a double to give Cagliari hope of survival as they saw off Fiorentina. But the star of the weekend had to be Luca Toni, a two-goal hero for the 10 men of Verona in the 3-2 win over Sassuolo. The man is nearly 38, for crying out loud!
