VIDEO: African All Stars – We Are The World (No To Xenophobia)
Well known African musicians have come together to sing for peace and tolerance in Africa.
The song debuted at the 2014 MTN Radio Awards on 18 April. Organisers of the awards have called on radio stations to broadcast the song as an act of solidarity against xenophobia in South Africa.
The organizers said, “It features 180 artists from across the African continent and is a demonstration of the beautiful music that Africans can make when we work together.”

In the fight against
Ebola and Xenophobia, African artists unite.
Organizers of the MTN Radio Awards have called on radio stations across
the continent to stand in solidarity against the recent xenophobic
attacks in South Africa by broadcasting the new Africa Against Ebola and
Xenophobia rendition of “We Are the World”.
The song, which debuted at the 2015 edition of the awards on Saturday 18
April, features 180 musicians from seven African countries – Nigeria,
Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Kenya, Mozambique, Cameroon and South Africa –
singing for peace and tolerance on the continent.
“It is a collaboration called Africa Against Ebola and Xenophobia,” the
organizers said. “It features 180 artists from across the African
continent and is a demonstration of the beautiful music that Africans
can make when we work together.”
The musicians
The African artists who contributed to the song include:
Nigeria: Harrysong, Iyanya, Praiz, Tiwa Savage, Emma Nyra, D’Prince,
Reekado Banks, Di’Ja, Victor Pedro, Yemi Alade, Banky W, Sean Tizzle,
Emmy Gee, Patoranking, Kcee, Iceberg, Dr Sid, Don Jazzy and Mosa
South Africa: Thembisile Ntaka, Kurt Darren, Elvis Blue, Sfiso Ncwane,
Pastor Jabu Hlongwane, MXO, Thandiswa Mazwai, Donald, Khaya Mthethwa, Dr
Sid, Mosa, Steve Kekana, Ziyon, RazorKutt, Moneoa, Kelly Khumalo, PJ
Powers, Danny K, Lloyd Cele, Mathew Gold, Loyiso, Zamo and RJ Benjamin,

The release of this video has come at the appropriate time in
Africa. We really need to be united so as to fight the atrocities in our
continent and not night each other. I just have an observation about
the video, there is a sentence after the video before the end credit
which has a typographical error ‘Africa thanks you’. The director and
editors should please remove the ‘S’ in the thanks. Well done. Thanks

In the fight against
Ebola and Xenophobia, African artists unite.
Organizers of the MTN Radio Awards have called on radio stations across
the continent to stand in solidarity against the recent xenophobic
